A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any effort if you have a web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet remarkably intuitive, and it will enable you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will find a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a couple of clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with our company. The hosting account will be administered via our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses with any domain name registered there. To enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click on the logo with the same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Disabling this option can be done in the exact same fashion and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a certain domain name, you will get a notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never edit or disable anything automatically.
