There are two services that you need for a working website - a domain name and a website hosting plan for it. When you type the domain address in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the web hosting account, but if that domain address isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. In other words, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. Instead, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” Internet page from the registrar company, or it can be directed to some other URL of your choice. The benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make certain that nobody else is going to take it. Meanwhile, it will not take a slot for a hosted domain address in your account. You could also park domain names if you have a .com, for example, and you register domain addresses with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website as a way to protect a brand name.

Our Linux semi-dedicated hosting packages don't have a restriction for the number of domains that you can park. This option is offered for domain names that are registered through us and not ones that are only hosted, as the service is always provided only by the registrar. Parking any of your domains is really easy and takes several mouse clicks with the feature-rich Domain Manager instrument, which you can access via your Hepsia web hosting CP. You're going to have a number of parking templates to pick from and you can add custom text to each of them - Under Construction, Parked Domain, For Sale, etc. Un-parking a domain is just as simple and what is more, our system will set up all the required records and it will create a folder in the File Manager section automatically, so you'll not need to do a single thing manually.
