Dot NET Domains

When the .NET generic top-level domain name extension was initially started in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Given the fact that there were no specific conditions about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were secured and used for diverse purposes and by loads of people. This extension represents an ideal alternative to dot COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.

Getting a dot NET domain name with our company is simple and takes no more than a couple of minutes, given that we partner with an ICANN-certified registrar company. You can buy such a domain for an interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can transfer it to our company and we will renew it after the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, given that they are not locked and that you have received an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures established by the dot NET Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily update the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you wouldn't like this info to be accessible at all, you can order a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your actual contact info.

The .NET domain name extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose if you want to aim at a particular country or area using a domain name in the local language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
